Lakeville Library - High School Artists.

Tom O'Connor and I went to the Lakeville Library on March  23to attend the exhibit of local high school artists.
We were somewhat disappointed as the show was about 70% digital graphic art and 20% digitally altered portrait prints.
We had expected to see oil, watercolor and other traditional media, but we saw only one or two watercolors and six colored pencil pieces.
There were a number of very interesting art...lots of imagination...many with deep messages...and I got the impression that some of this artwork was their response to class projects.
We realized that there was a generational gap involved and should be factored into our views.
There were some very striking, dynamic and colorful examples of their digital/computer generated artwork and well worth the trip to the Great Ponds Gallery.
These students must have been excited to be on display in this state of the art gallery.
Congratulations to these students and their teachers.
